Senior Labour Inspectors Committee

Inspections in the framework of SLIC campaign Safe and healthy work for temporary jobs

Involvement of Poland in the campaign run under the auspices of the Senior Labour Inspectors’ Committee is displayed both in active participation in the preparation and organization of the campaign at the European level, as well as in conducting specific activities at national level. Therefore, in 2018 inspections will be focused on checking the compliance with health and safety regulations for temporary agency workers. Inspections will be supported by informational and promotional activities at the same time. In the first stage, inspections should be carried out in the temporary work agencies (TWA), and subsequently in 3-4 employers-users cooperating with the given TWA.

The objective of the inspection is to:

  • demonstrate compliance with legal obligations and provisions of agreements between the parties (TWA and an employer-user),
  • check if temporary employees are treated on a par with the employers-users’ own workers in terms of OSH.

It has been agreed that 200 inspections in this area will be carried out at the national level; the inspections are about to begin in March 2018. Prior to that, a group of labour inspectors coordinating activities at the level of district labour inspectorates will be familiarized with inspection-support materials. A summary of the results is planned for the end of the year.
